On June 15th, ACP hosted a LinkedIn Live with Lockheed Martin for an inside look at the company culture, hiring strategies and networking opportunities. Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that stands as an industry leader in supporting the veteran community. A testament to their commitment, every 1 of 5 Lockheed Martin employees are Veterans themselves which makes about 20 percent of their entire company staff prior service. Lockheed Martin offers their staff members an opportunity to join different BRG groups, of which 36k of their employees take part, offering an inclusive workplace and continuing to encourage company connections. Their company focuses on positions within the aeronautics, missiles and fire control, space and enterprise departments.
The panel featured six speakers from Lockheed Martin within their talent acquisition and military relations leadership spaces: U.S. Navy Veteran Carlos Arcila, Enterprise Military Relations Manager; U.S. Air Force Veteran Ray Jokie, Space Military Relations Manager; U.S. Air Force Veteran Beth Guidry, Skillbridge Program Lead; U.S. Air Force Veteran Paul Gallagher, Space Military Relations Member; U.S. Air Force Veteran Matthew Macejewski, Aero Military Relations Member; and U.S. Air Force Reservist Veteran Jeffrey Ossman, Space Skillbridge Member. They discussed the company culture, transition tips, insights on security clearances, and how to navigate the job search when applying to Lockheed Martin. The event was accompanied by a Q&A.
